So today am going to show you how to make this killer creamy fish stew
Ingredients:
- Deep Fried Tilapia Fish
- 4 large tomatoes, preferably blended
- Green Bell Peppers
- 1 Cup of milk or Coconut milk
- 1 Large Red Onion
- 3 Cloves of Garlic
- Corriander
- 4 Tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 Tablespoon of salt
- 2 Tablepoons of Royco
- In your cooking pot which has your heating cooking oil add one large red onion
- Fry the onions till they are almost brown, add your garlic when the red onions start turning brown.
- I love the garlic since it takes the taste of the meal to a whole new level making it tasty and delicious. I add the garlic after the onions are almost cooked since garlic cooks a bit faster. So by the time the red onions will be browning the garlic will be cooked.
- Don’t let the garlic burn, when the garlic is cooked, add your bell peppers
- Cook till the peppers are done
- Now go in with your Tomato Puree / Blended Tomatoes
- Cook for about two minutes, cover with a lid
- After perfectly cooked, go in with your salt, don’t add too much salt.
- That being added, add your 1 cup of milk
- When you add milk it becomes very flavorful and tasteful as compared to water
- Stir, then let is simmer for about two minutes, you can cover with lid
- Now add your royco after stirring it well in a bowl using some little milk not water. You can see that am avoiding water at all costs. Give it a good stir. It will start thickening and look appetizing
- Let your royco also cook and then we come back and add our fish. Cover with lid for about a minute or two.
- Immerse your fish in the stew
- Use your cooking stick to fully immerse, kind of painting the fish on the upper part
- You can use coconut milk instead of normal milk if you wish to and your fish will still be as delicious
- Cover with lid for a few minutes and …
- Wow! Look at that! You will notice how thick your stew will be.
- You can actually serve this with your rice, chapati or Ugali and your kids will be really happy to have this kind of stew because it will be really delicious.
- Lastly go in with your chopped coriander leaves, sprinkle on the stew like this
- Cover the coriander with the stew using your cooking stick
- Finally our fish is ready, enjoy your delicious meal
